The Creation of the Legal Self in Early Imperial China
Robin Yates is James McGill Professor of East Asian Studies and History and Classical Studies at McGill University. He is a specialist on the social and cultural history of early China, the history of Chinese military science and technology, the history of Chinese women, and the history of Chinese law. Among his publications are Women in China from Earliest Times to the Present: A Bibliography of Studies in Western Languages (2009) and the co-authored book Law, State, and Society in Early Imperial China (2015).
